About us

For 25 years, WASP Ireland has been a leading addiction-specific family support service, dedicated to helping families navigate the devastating impact of addiction. Using a whole-family systems model of recovery, we empower each family member—parents, siblings, partners, and children—to heal from the trauma of addiction while rebuilding healthy dynamics.

Addiction is a problem that impacts every individual in the family, and our community-based approach ensures no one faces it alone. Through one-to-one counselling, family mediation, support groups, wellness programmes, and crisis intervention, we address the emotional, behavioural, financial and psychological toll of addiction. Whether coping with a loved one’s active addiction, relapse, or recovery, we provide tools to set boundaries, practice self-care, and restore hope.

Rooted in the community, WASP fosters resilience through education, advocacy, and peer support. Our evidence-based programmes help families break cycles of codependency, shame, and isolation, guiding them toward long-term recovery. Together, we turn pain into strength—because when families heal, communities heal.

No family walks this path alone. WASP walks with you.
